Text Box: TRENDS for 2010?

What is in store for brides tying the knot next year? While I do not actually have a crystal ball to gaze into, and I cannot foresee future bridal events, I can speculate what the coming attractions for next year will be. I base my "guesstimates" on several factors. The economy, modern family structures, our fast-paced culture, and of course the worlds of fashion and music. (And, yes, I did accurately predict that purple would be a huge color this coming winter. Low and behold! That is what the fashion experts are now saying. Woooooo! Scary, huh?)  Here are my top picks for upcoming trends:

Hot Colors-  Lipstick Red! Taupe, Aqua, Peacock, Goldenrod, Silver, Sunset
Gowns-

40's Vintage! Lace, fitted and streamlined looks, and bolero jackets with flip up collars. Gowns with simple, clean lines. Expect waistlines to be cinched, belted, bowed and sashed. Shoes will be strappy heels, wedged heels or the classic pump. Think Hepburn, Bacall, and Ford.
Favors & themes- DIY!  Simple, timeless looks, back-to-basics and down to earth chic.
These are my predictions for weddings. Now let's look in that crystal ball and see who will win the Superbowl.... LOL.
